Ivano-Frankivsk College of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University trains professionals qualifying as “junior specialist” (License of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, AE 458321 from 07.07.2014). The state-owned college holds the first level of accreditation.

Prehistory

Verkhovyna College of Tourism and Hospitality Management of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was created by the decree of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 20.05.2004 and rector’s order of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University of 15.06.2010. It became a structural part of Institute of Tourism and Management of V.Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. The extensive development of tourist industry and demand for qualified professionals in hospitality services preconditioned the creation of the educational establishment.

Founded in 2004.

In 2005, the college was licensed to provide educational services on the higher level of instruction and train qualified “junior specialists” in the field of study “0504 Tourism, specs. 5.050403 “Organization of service in hotels and tourist complexes”

In 2008, ater the decision of the State Accreditation Commission, in the field “0504 Tourism, specs. 5.050403 “Organization of service in hotels and tourist complexes” the college obtained the first level accreditation.

In 2008, the license was renewed according to which the instruction of young specialists was carried out in the following educational fields: 5.02010701 “Organization of tourist services” and 5.14010101 “Organization of hospitality services”

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine’s order of №11/80 from 23.12.2009 provided the training of students in the areas of expertise: Tourism 0307, spec. 503070101 “Tourist services”; 503070102 Hospitality service since 2010.

Law College of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was created by the order of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine № 39, dating 5.02.1998 to prepare legal professionals qualifying as “junior specialists” to meet the needs of state bodies and local governments, courts, law enforcement bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations of Ivano-Frankivsk and Precarpathian region.

In June 20, 2002 the orders of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine № 365 and the Rector of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University № 160-a of September 3, 2002 established Law Institute of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University as a part of the Faculty of Law of the University and Law College through their reorganization.

In July 2003, V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was licensed to conduct educational activities related to the provision of higher education at the required level of educational qualifications “junior specialist” in the field of study 0601 “Law” specialty 5.060101 “Jurisprudence”. Licensed amount of students – 100 (License series AB № 298897 from 09.03.2006.), including the state funded education – 20 places.

According to the SAC decision of 22 June 2004, № 51, the college was accredited for the first level (Certificate of accreditation, series of НД-I № 092639 from 09.03.2006.)

In April 2009, the college was re-accredited and the SAC decision of 4 June 2009 he has been accredited for the first level (Certificate of accreditation, series of НД-I №098031 from 23.09.2009 g.).

By the same decision of the SAC, the college was issued a license (series AB № 482872 from 23.09.2009) to provide educational services related to obtaining higher education, required qualifying level “junior specialists”. Licensed amount is 40 full-time students and 20 part-time students.

Law College passed last regular accreditation in February 2014

Young specialists training has been carried out on the basis of complete secondary education. Since 2007, application forms are accepted on the basis of basic secondary education (certificate – ЗД Series III № 090684 from 04.07.2008).

According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine order of 28.12.2012 № 1515 Ivano-Frankivsk College of V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was established as a structural university department. Since September 1, 2013 the college has been training professionals qualifying as “junior specialists” in the field of:

5.01010101 “Preschool education” – 56 students;

5.01010201 “Primary education” – 107 students;

5.02020701 “Design” – 14 students.

In the same academic year organizational work on the licensing of new specialty 5.04030101 “Applied mathematics” was being conducted

History

According to the decree of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 590 as of May 14, 2014 “Some issues concerning the activities of structural units of State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University”, Ivano-Frankivsk College of State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University” was created on August 28, 2014 on the base of the following educational institutions: Law College of State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University, Verhovyna College of Tourism and Hotel Business of State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University” and Ivano-Frankivsk College of State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University”.

The college trains experts of “Assistant Specialist” educational qualification level in the following fields of study:

081 (5.03040101) “Law”;

241 (5.14010101) “Hotel and restaurant business” (“Hotel service”);

242 (5.14010301) “Tourism” (“Tourism service”).

1033 students are studying at the college as of 2015/2016 academic year.

After graduation with “Assistant Specialist” educational qualification level, students have the opportunity to continue their study for receiving Bachelor’s Degree in a corresponding major with an automatic transfer to a senior academic year at Institute of Pedagogy, Institute of Law, Institute of Tourism, Institute of Arts or the Department of Mathematics and IT of the State Higher Educational Institution “Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University”.
